What is your position at Brighton Center and how long have you worked for Brighton?
I am a pediatric occupational therapist and have been at Brighton over 2 years. I received my B.S. in Development and Family Studies from the University of North Texas in 2011. I then received my MS in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University in 2016, where I completed research on client and family education.
What is one of the fondest memories you have while working with a child in the field at Brighton?
I was able to celebrate with a parent when their child slept through the night for the first time!
What is the best part of your job?
I love getting the chance to celebrate little moments with families – small milestones that may otherwise go unnoticed.
What do you love most about working with children and their families?
Each family has different dynamics and preferences, so I enjoy individualizing strategies to work within the family structure and routine.
What inspires you?
Seeing the resilience of our little ones is a great inspiration!
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I really enjoy knitting!
