Brighton Center Receives $35,000 from 2022 Valero Benefit for Children

San Antonio, TX – Brighton Center received a charitable grant of $35,000 from the Valero Benefit for Children this year, thanks to the Valero Texas Open golf tournament and associated events. Specifically, in San Antonio and surrounding areas, Valero awarded $1.5 million to 58 deserving agencies this year. As one of the 58 agencies selected, the $35,000 grant will support Brighton’s Developmental and Educational Programs.

“Right now, Valero is making a difference in our community, and we’re grateful for their support.” said Katrina Campbell, Brighton Center’s CEO.

Valero will distribute over $22 million in net proceeds from the Valero Texas Open. This is due to the incredible generosity of Valero’s business partners, donors, and sponsors. Furthermore, these resources will go to agencies across the United States, supporting the work of charity partners like Brighton Center. We thank Valero for supporting agencies in the communicates where Valero has major operations.

More About the Valero Benefit for Children

The 2022 Valero Benefit for Children, the Valero Energy Foundation’s annual charitable fundraiser focusing on children in need, returned for its 13th year to the magnificent JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa and TPC San Antonio. Subsequently, events took place over April 3rd and 4th with golf outings in and around San Antonio.

Valero distributed net proceeds from the Benefit for Children to children’s charities in communities where Valero has major operations. The result is a network of strong, well-supported agencies with the means to help thousands of disadvantaged children.
