CEO Transition Announcement from Kim Jefferies, CEO of Brighton Center

Dear Brighton Center supporter,

First and foremost, thank you for your support of the Brighton Center. Your financial and in-kind contributions are essential in our ability to provide the right help at the right time for 3,500+ children with disabilities and developmental delays in San Antonio every year.

For the past 15 years, Kim Jefferies has been the CEO of Brighton Center, steadfastly leading the organization to set a strong foundation for children of all abilities in our community. We are grateful for Kim’s vision and relentless drive to meet the growing needs of those served through 3 expansion projects, tripling the number of children and families impacted annually, and growing the Brighton Center to be the largest organization serving children with delays and disabilities in Bexar County. The board of directors has enjoyed working closely with Kim and is deeply appreciative of her service to our community. Kim recently notified the board of her intention to step down later this year and we worked closely with her on a succession plan.

We’re excited to announce that Katrina Campbell, Chief Development Officer, will be promoted to CEO effective October 18, 2021. Katrina has 10 years of service with Brighton Center and been instrumental in the vision, strategy and delivery of our expanded facility – and will now lead the organization in program and capacity expansion to serve more children and families. Katrina has worked closely with Kim over the past several years and her leadership, passion and knowledge of Brighton Center give us complete confidence in her ability to sustain all that Kim has put in place and grow the organization to new levels. She has the board’s full support, and we are grateful that Katrina accepted this opportunity.

The board, Kim and Katrina are 100% committed to continuity at the Brighton Center and will ensure a seamless transition of leadership. Although Kim has set her sights on new horizons, she will remain available to and engaged with the organization through the end of the calendar year.

Please join us in thanking Kim for her leadership and service, and congratulating Katrina on her new role.

Sincerely,

Meriel Bowman
Board Chair
