At Brighton Center we serve thousands of children with disabilities or delays and their families in the San Antonio and surrounding area. Brighton Center serves as a beacon of hope for many families who do not know where to turn. We are there hand in hand with each family from the moment of that first diagnosis to ensure their child has the opportunities they need to acquire the necessary skills to lead a successful, full life.
Our programs incorporate services that meet the needs of the child and the entire family
Our organization provides an environment for children with disabilities to interact and integrate with peers without disabilities. This approach has proven to improve social, motor and emotional development for children with disabilities – while promoting understanding, acceptance and appreciation of all children.
In order to help children reach their full potential, Brighton Center offers therapy and education for children – along with intense training programs that teach parents about their child’s disability, strategies to help their child make progress and their child’s rights in school provided by the special education laws.
Since children grow and learn best in their natural environment, Brighton Center staff provides therapy to children wherever they spend their days (home, daycare, etc.) and teach their parent or caregiver simple strategies to integrate into their daily routine to enhance their child’s development.
Brighton Center has a sound reputation for providing quality services to children with disabilities in the San Antonio area since 1969 and has a strong, strategic vision for the future.
Brighton Center has received recognition not only as a quality social service provider but also as a top employer. Brighton Center operates one of the only inclusive child development centers in Bexar County that is also nationally accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
