Brighton Center ranked #5 Nonprofit to work for in the country!

Brighton Center is #2 on the Nonprofit Times list as a best place to work!

For 6th Year in a Row, San Antonio’s Brighton Center is at the top of the Nonprofit Times Best Nonprofits to Work List!

Brighton Center has been nationally recognized by the NonProfit Times, the leading business publication for nonprofit management, as the #5 all around Nonprofit to work for in the country and #2 in the medium size categories! This is the sixth time Brighton Center has been recognized by the publication and they are the only local nonprofit on the list.  Brighton Center’s willingness to concentrate on the issues that matter to staff such as competitive salaries, great benefits, transparency, and opportunities for staff development all help keep staff excited to be a part of the team.

Kim Jefferies, CEO is adamant that staff’s needs come first.  “At Brighton we value the contribution each and every staff member makes to not only our organization but to the children and families that they work with.  We work hard to keep them happy, engaged and appreciated so that they can focus their full efforts and attention on providing the services and care that these incredible kiddos deserve!”

Lisa Cruz, a physical therapist at Brighton, has been with the organization for 25+ years.  When asked about her tenure at the agency, she responded with “People always ask me why I have stayed over 25 years with one organization and I always tell them that it has been a blessing in my life to be able to work for an organization that strives to provide the highest standards of therapy services to a population that allows you the opportunity to make a huge positive impact on the child and the family!”

More about the Nonprofit Times: The 2016 Nonprofit Times Best Places to Work For assessment process conducted by Best Companies Group, an independent research firm out of Pennsylvania, included a questionnaire sent to employers to collect information about benefits, policies and practices, followed by an employee survey that consisted of approximately 76 questions evaluating workplace experience, job satisfaction, and organizational culture.
